Contact Form

The questions below include many of the things that need to be considered when getting started with a new site design. You do not need to answer all these questions now. The only mandatory fields are your name and email address.

Just answer the questions that you have answers for, and don't worry if you don't have this information right now. They are just things to keep in mind for later on. For the fields you do fill in, you can type as much or as little as you want, so don't be shy if you have a very long response to some questions.

Space is provided at the bottom for any additional comments, or questions that you have.

Your Needs When are you available to disuss this project? Would you prefer an email response, or a phone call during a certain time of day? Like many web designers, I sometimes work through the wee hours when distractions are minimal, so whether you are free at 5AM, 3PM, or 11PM, it's fine with me. Does your company have a certain budget in place for web design? If yes, how flexible is this budget? Does the budget include (or need to include) the purchase of a domain name and hosting? Maintenance and updates should also be considered, if you anticipate making frequent changes to the site, or if the site will contain time-sensitive information which will need to be revised on a schedule. Does your company have a logo? Are you interested in a logo design or redesign? Much of the web design process revolves around making everything work nicely with the company logo and branding. Do you have any text prepared for use on the site? Of course, I can research and write the content, but you are the expert in your industry. Anything you have that can be used as a starting point in this area will make the process quicker and less expensive. Do you have photos or images you would like used on the site? These might be photos of company representatives, facilities, or products. If you have imagery, is it in digital format, or would it need to be scanned? Please note that these types of images are not at all necessary for most sites to be successful.
Company Information Does your company have a slogan, tagline or mission statement that you use for branding? If so, please enter it here. Please describe the nature of your business. What kinds of goods or services do you provide, who are your customers, etc. If someone were to ask an existing customer or client about your company, or if someone were to refer your company to a friend or colleague, what would you want them to say? List companies who are most likely to be competing for your customers or clients. Include their web site addresses, if available. If your site were to include a "Why choose us" section (customers seem to click on these very often), what would it say? Do you offer the best quality, or a plethora of customization options? Top notch support or personal attention? Outstanding references? Perhaps you do it faster than the competition, or compete on price? Do you bring years of experience to the table?
Website Information Does your company already have a website? If so, please list the URL along with a summary of the things you like or dislike about the existing design. Do you have general or specific ideas about how your new site should look and feel? You may have color combinations in mind, or a navigation layout that you would like. Or you may have only a general idea of how the site should feel. Some words often used to describe the overall feel of a website include clean, high-tech, conservative, modern, flashy, corporate, grungy, fun or artistic. Do you have an idea of how many pages your site will need, and what these pages will be? Some common types of pages include the home page, site map, about us, services, products, company profile, contact, why us, testimonials, news, press releases, and upcoming events. Are there websites (these do not need to be related to your industry) that have elements you like? For example, the color scheme, navigation or layout. Are there websites (again, not necessarily related to your industry) with elements you specifically would not want on your company site?
Have Your Say Did I forget something? Please use this space to include any further information about the project, or for questions you have for me.
